While there are descriptions of sex and sexual situations, drug use and drunkenness, none of it was gratuitous or likely to offend most adult readers. While some of the events in the story take Ed to some of the darker parts of life, the overall vibe of this book is positive and constructive. While the novel has a potentially wide audience, it is likely to be most enjoyed by college students or those who have recollections of their college days. A good read.  This should be mandatory reading for folks in their second semester of freshman year in college. So many great lessons about learning about yourself, home, family, and relationships. Especially great is the demonstation of the lesson that it isn’t necessarily too late to make things right.

This is a Coming of Age Story that involves a lot of family issues. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to High School, Early College Age Young Adults. (
