This is How I Grow explains the early development of eight different animals from all over the world. From birth to independence, we learn how each animal makes its way away from the security and dependence of its mother. The text shows the devotion mother animals have toward their offspring. The illustrations are beautiful and accurate.

This is a very sweet picture book with charming illustrations of a few baby animals around the world and how they grow. It provides excellent practice for Spanish learners, and it was very fun to be able to translate even with only a basic vocabulary knowledge by looking at root words and familiar verb endings.

I absolutely love the pictures in this book! They are colorful, engaging, large, and interesting. Not only are the pictures lovely, this book provides a lot information about animals throughout the world. Learning about how baby animals grow is definitely engaging for little ones. I liked that this book provides a resource section as well as a question and answer section. It's great that this book has a Spanish and an English version. ( )

This book is fantastic! This is the second one in this series that I get the opportunity to read.

It introduces 8 animals and how they are born and grow. Each of these baby animals is presented with some brief facts, in simple language and great illustrations. At the end it shows a map where these are located, resources to find more information about them and a section on questions for each baby animal.
My 10 year old who is fully bilingual and I enjoyed this book. She knew a lot of the material and I must admit I learned quite a few things. My favorite part was the questions and answers at the end.
This is a great book for children starting from toddler age. I am assuming this book was translated from English and it has been well-done. I can tell that from the wording, vocabulary and sentence structure used even if I don’t have the English copy.

Presenta 8 animales y cómo nacen y crecen. Cada uno de estos animales bebés se presenta con algunos hechos breves, en un lenguaje sencillo y maravillosas ilustraciones. Al final muestra un mapa donde se encuentran, recursos para encontrar más información sobre ellos y una sección sobre preguntas para cada animal bebé.
Mi hija de 10 años que es totalmente bilingüe y yo disfrutamos de este libro. Ella sabía mucho del material y debo admitir que aprendí bastantes cosas. Mi parte favorita eran las preguntas y respuestas al final.
Este es un gran libro para niños a partir de la edad de párvulos. Asumo que este libro fue traducido del inglés y ha sido bien hecho. Puedo decir esto por la redacción, vocabulario y estructura de oraciones utilizadas sin poseer la copia en inglés.

Así crezco (Spanish Edition) is an award winning STEM picture book. The artwork is effective as it shows not only animal families, but the habitat that they live in. The Spanish text reminded me that my Spanish is rustier than I realized, but the text is very understandable even for those learning the language. I would have given it 5 stars but felt Antartica should have been included in this continent exploring animal book and I think it would be beneficial to have this in both Spanish and English to broaden the use for students learning either language. All in all, a very accessible book and interesting animal information. ( )
