When I started this book, I was unsure what to expect. It sounded like such a fun and unique story and it definitely lived up to my expectations.
The characters were extremely likable and definitely human. I laughed. I cringed. And I had fun.
I really don’t have any complaints about this book and was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. (One or two uses of language.)

5/5 Stars

*I received a copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own and a positive review was not required.

Quotes:
“It’s not working—I’m too overwrought. I haven’t slept in days. I’ve come to my mortal enemy for mercy. I cannot send Vindhya to school in a Godzilla costume. And the countdown to total self destruct is at T-minus ten hours. Frustration and humiliation press hard against the back of my eyes. I will myself not to cry, but my next words sound a little too much like pleading. ‘I’m sorry for being snarky before. Okay? But please. You must have something else,’”

I also loved how the romance was not what i expected throughout the read. I also like how this book had a job element that I have always enjoyed. It was super fun read and def but a smile on my face!! Will def read more by this author in the future. ( )

Well I don't normally enjoy this type of story, but Charity was such an endearing character that I found myself quite invested as she bumbled her way through her Glimpses.

The supporting cast were also quite entertaining and some of the banter was quite witty. I liked that there was a bit of character development as Charity started to examine more closely the consequences of her actions. Happy to add this to my booktalk collection.

Think Cinderella's fairy godmother minus the poofy dress, younger, and with far more attitude...which trust me, she'll need in order to get out of the pickle she finds herself in!

You see, Charity really cares about all those she's helped with her GLIMPSING abilities (which are tre cool, but not extremely reliable as we slowly find out!), but when she's found out, and shown the supposed light of what actually happened to them after the supposed HEA...all that certainty, all that bravado (humble as it was) is blown to pieces. It's a lot for anyone to take and it really puts her in a bad place...good thing she's strong enough to fight back, though who or what she is fighting is yet to actually be clear. I'll tell you one thing though, despite the whole "Can't Buy Me Love" makeover visually and socially for Noah....I had SUCH A HARD TIME LIKING HIM! I suppose it has something to do with how he tried to clip our fairy godmother's wings (and the dueling pepper spray incident definitely didn't work in his favor!), but it was really difficult not to reach through the pages and smack him upside the head.

All in all, a unique walk in the magically tinged steps of a teenage fairy godmother that you never saw coming with an outcome that's hard to believe...but I think it really goes to show you that wishes are best left to stars, and sometimes, just maybe, we have to trust in fate to know what's really best for us.
