I preferred this anthology to the novels I've been reading. The stories are more tightly plotted and less twee. It's still fairly light though; it's the sort of anthology that I used to read when I was still commuting (I may be back to the commute later this summer). Recommended but light.

The collection gives us a broad variety of stories, showing how prolific a writer Radford is. Some of the stories are connected to novels she has written, which have a tendency to be unclear for the uninitiated like me. I have to say that while I enjoyed some stories, and didn’t enjoy some others, overall I didn’t fall in love with any of them. Despite the great variety here, I don’t think I will check out more of Radford’s works.

A mixed bag - I most enjoyed the Captain Trude stories (steampunk), Humming Along and Forgiveness - the short stories covered a wide range of fantastical being and situations. Quick and easy ( )

Magical meanderings delivers on what it promises- short stories with some magic or fantasy component. The stories were well written for the most part and enjoyable but nothing that really drew me in or blew me away. ( )

This was a fun read. If you like fantasy and pixies and fairies and the like, you'll love this book!

This book is filled with short stories about everything magical. All of the stories have a positive spin. I liked them all.

The only bad thing is that you'll have to put it down and do something else or you'll read it all in one sitting.

Why not take a trip away from the worries of the world and read about the magical adventures in this book? ( )
