After spending my entire pro golfing career being known as the quiet, controlled, no-nonsense golfer on the tour, there's nothing more humiliating than throwing all of that down the drain on national television. Needing some place to hide, to lick my wounds and figure out what I even want to do with my life once this blows over, I can only think of one place I need to be. Summersweet Island, where everyone treats me like one of their own, and they'll all be happy to have me home again. Well, except maybe one person. It's been two years since I last set foot on Summersweet Island or spoke to anyone there. But I'm sure Birdie Bennett, my best friend since I was fifteen and the clubhouse manager of my favorite golf course, has had plenty of time to forgive me for that tiny little misunderstanding where I blocked her on social media and blocked her in my phone. Oh, and I guess I kind of, sort of accused her of being a stalker. It's fine! Once my sexy, spunky, former best friend gets over the shock of seeing me again and stops trying to drive a nine-iron into my skull, I can finally let her know I've also kind of, sort of always been in love with her ... I mean this book would totaly be a 3 but Bohdie is the absolute bomb.com - I love Tara Sivec's books, fan interaction, everything - but this book was VERY slow burn and for some reason this time that bothered me! But damn Tess... Bohdie .. for real.. the love I have is real ( )

This Book is a HOLE IN ONE.

This is the first book from Tara Sivec I’ve read, and it will not be the last. She is damn talented. Not only is this love story epic... she is freaking hilarious. I don’t think I have ever cackled so much reading a book in my life.
I loved the characters. Birdie is seriously the belle of the ball and she is so well written. Her inner dialogue is almost funnier than her actual dialogue. And Tess... oh my GOD. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a book character as a friend mode. Palmer is fun and exciting, and charismatic as all get out. I love how this story unfolded. Love is messy, it’s complicated... and it’s hard. You definitely go through all the feelings with this book.
There are some killer one liners in this book. Oh man. I had to take screen shots of some of my favs to post to my Instagram story because Tara is such a sassy, witty, clever writer. This was such a fun read. It was so refreshing to read such a positive, upbeat book. Even in tense, dramatic moments there were beautiful twists that just worked. If you are looking for a quick, easy to read book- this is it. ( )
