Fiction. Literature. HTML:This instant New York Times bestsellerâ??that's "perfect for fans of beach reads, P.S. I Love You, and anything by authors Jennifer Weiner and Elin Hilderbrand" (Country Living)â?? follows two childhood friends who discover that love and family can be found in unconventional ways.
Recently separated Amelia Saxton, a dedicated journalist, never expected that uncovering the biggest story of her career would become deeply personal. But when she discovers that a cluster of embryos belonging to her childhood friend Parker and his late wife Greer have been deemed "abandoned," she's put in the unenviable position of telling Parkerâ??and dredging up old wounds in the process.

Parker has been unable to move forward since the loss of his beloved wife three years ago. He has all but forgotten about the frozen embryos, but once Amelia reveals her discovery, he knows that if he ever wants to get a part of Greer back, he'll need to accept his fate as a single father and find a surrogate.

Each dealing with their own private griefs, Parker and Amelia slowly begin to find solace in one another as they navigate an uncertain future against the backdrop of the pristine waters of their childhood home, Cape Carolina. The journey of self-discovery leads them to a life-changing lesson: family is always closer than you think.

"Deliciously plotted, intricately constructed, gorgeously written, and brimming with hope, Under the Southern Sky will steal your heart and make you think about first loves, second chances, and the unforeseeable twists of fate that guide us all" (Kristin Harmel, New York Times bestselling

WoW! Who doesn't love a good love story?
This book had me loving every second of Amelia and Parker!
The story is told from multiple people but mainly Amelia and Parker.
I promise you'll love it.

Under The Southern Sky was so beautiful. The writing was just amazing.
And the story that is being told!!!!! The greatest story I've ever heard before.
If this doesn't get you all in your feelings I don't know what will.

Kristy Harvey girl you out did yourself. My first novel by her.... And I'm already looking into her books.

Thank You NetGalley, Publisher and Kristy for this amazing, loveable ebook! ( )

I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be looking to read more books by this author.

After reading some darker books, I needed a light, sweet read. While this doesn't necessarily fit in to the "light" category, it definitely got the sweet part.

Under the Southern Sky has a fairly interesting premise - Amelia Saxton is a journalist writing a story about surrogacy when she finds out that embryos belonging to her childhood friend and neighbor are on a list labeled "abandoned". Parker's wife, Greer, died of cancer three years ago. Still deeply mourning her loss, having Amelia and these embryos re-enter his life is something he didn't expect.

Great story, lovely setting (coastal North Carolina), a good supporting cast of friends, family and neighbors round out this book. Definitely recommend! ( )

I absolutely love everything written by this author. Different plot line but you get caught up in the characters worlds and can't help but think of how you might handle these tough life decisions. Very well done and I can't wait to read her next book out in the early part of next year! ( )

A perfect summer read! Read in Cape May on a perfect 81° day on our last visit to our Cape May condo before we turn it over to our summer renters. ( )

This is a wonderful story of family, love, marriage, and wanting/having children. Readers will be engrossed by the interaction of characters both alive and dead. Careers, family, and secrets, all play a part in this compelling love story. Readers will not be disappointed in Kristy's best novel yet. ( )
