It is essentially a set of word problems. However, there is a corresponding illustration for each picture. Valerie Fisher presents a new problem for readers to solve on each page of this book. None of the characters in these problems are connected. The problems presented will have readers use counting skills, subtraction, addition, and even test their knowledge of odd numbers and money. I think this book would be a fun one to read and work through during class, but it is definitely one that I would like to include in my library. This book's genre is a bit of a mix. I would say it is kind of an informational book and modern fantasy mushed together. This is a great book to read for children who are learning the basics of math. This book has addition, subtraction, and a little multiplication in it. It covers just a base of these math function while also having a fun story for each page. This book doesnt have a plot but each page has a new story with a math problem on it. It is also written in a poetry form. This is a good example of an informational book, but it also has plot and characters like realistic fiction. The stories all have math problems that have to be solved. The facts are easily distinguishable from the fiction of the stories and everything is up to date and accurate. The stories are all about events that could happen in real life and are believable. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
