"A new love, a secret sister, and a summer she'll never forget. From the beloved author of Tweet Cute comes Emma Lord's You Have a Match, a hilarious and heartfelt novel of romance, sisterhood, and friendship... When Abby signs up for a DNA service, it's mainly to give her friend and secret love interest, Leo, a nudge. After all, she knows who she is already: Avid photographer. Injury-prone tree climber. Best friend to Leo and Connie...although ever since the B.E.I. (Big Embarrassing Incident) with Leo, things have been awkward on that front. But she didn't know she's a younger sister. When the DNA service reveals Abby has a secret sister, shimmery-haired Instagram star Savannah Tully, it's hard to believe they're from the same planet, never mind the same parents - especially considering Savannah, queen of green smoothies, is only a year and a half older than Abby herself. The logical course of action? Meet up at summer camp (obviously) and figure out why Abby's parents gave Savvy up for adoption. But there are complications: Savvy is a rigid rule-follower and total narc. Leo is the camp's co-chef, putting Abby's growing feelings for him on blast. And her parents have a secret that threatens to unravel everything. But part of life is showing up, leaning in, and learning to fit all your awkward pieces together. Because sometimes, the hardest things can also be the best ones"--… (más)

Truly, I do not know why I let this book sit in the black hole of kindle-land for months. It's amazing. Yet again, Emma Lord has hooked me with lovable characters, great humor, and yummy food. (seriously Emma, you owe me food now.)
What I really liked seeing was the sister relationship between Abby and Savvy. It felt so real, complex, and complicated. Their difficulties in understanding each other and their new connection were perfectly written and it felt like they were sitting next to me.
I also have to note that I ship Leo and Abby so much.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Lord's books are addictive reads that are difficult to put down. I highly recommend this one for fans of emotional ya contemporary stories.

Rating: 5/5
Language: a**, d***, s*** f***, probably a few others that I missed
Romance: a few kisses, girls in relationships with girls
Spiritual: n/a
Violence: n/a

*I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts are my own and a positive review was not required. ( )

It started a little rough because it felt juvenile and I didn't love how haphazardly the characters were introduced, but once I got into it I was hooked. Devoured it in one day, I loved the drama and the romance and I cried at the end. ( )

This was a cute kind of spin on The Parent Trap where two teen girls learns via DNA test that they are sisters and while at summer camp try to find a way to figure out what happened and bring their parents back together.

There’s also general camp hi-jinx and some romance and discussions about teenagers struggling to find their place in the world as they grow up and relationships change.

Lots of LGBTQ characters.

I read this in a day. I am working through a much darker bleak book and was stuck and not reading much so this was a great change of pace. YA is always a great way for me to relax. ( )

* I got this book for review*

I really found this book to be so charming. I really loved how this book tackled parent trap with a twist. I also really liked abby as main character. I also love camp being the setting of this book, it reminds me of my time of working at a summer camp. I also really liked how this book focused on the both new friends but also sisterhood!!! It was a book that was just fun. I really liked the friendships that developed throughout the read. It also really liked leo as main character and all the others characters we meet. I also was invested and in the "Parent trap" Mystery. I loved the one year later last chapter. Def check it out, if you loved parent trap as kid or loved the unexpected everything, get ready to meet a new friendship group! ( )
