'The Major Works of Samuel Taylor Coleridge' contains many of his greatest poems, including the famous epic 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner'. Coleridge was an English poet (1772 - 1834), of the Romantic and the Gothic schools, whose legacy continues to influence our language today. For instance, whenever a person may describe a shameful burden they may say it's their "albatross" or a "weight around their neck", which is depicted in 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' when the mariner's shipmates hang the albatross the mariner had killed around his neck. For anyone interested in English literature, classical great works, poetry, or philosophy I recommend reading some of Coleridge's works. But be warned, Coleridge was a theologian, and a deeply religious man -- nonetheless, his works are worth reading and appreciating even in a secular sense. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
