His escape from loneliness and a soul sucking job. I love a grumpy, arsehole of a character where the crusty outside is really hiding a soft heart scared of, in this case, desertion. If you don't get close to people they can't break your heart when they leave. Poor Elias, my heart ached for him. The romance was adorable, the conversations natural and, despite the speed it moved, the relationship felt natural. Highly recommended to make you feel warm and fuzzy.
