One Riddle, one Answer did so many things right. first, it represented the Middle Eastern country of Persia in a positive light showing the focus on education and equality. This leads into the strong, female character of Aziza who was not only intelligent but also interested and excellent at math, a subject that is often though of as being for boys. The illustrations in this book were fantastic and added a lot to the story telling aspect. Finally, the composition of the book from text size to language used made this book user friendly to children of all ages. I would not only highly recommend this book but i also recommend teachers buy a copy of this for their classroom library. ( ) As I started reading this book, I couldnt help but think to myself about what this book has to do with math at all. The book began with Princess Aziza and her journey to find a new husband. Her father allowed her to create a riddle that she knew only her future husband could answer. After traveling for a long time with no luck, she suddenly comes upon a man who answers her riddle correctly. The answer to her riddle is mathematical, and teaches readers about dividing one into parts. This is such a cute book for readers that are looking to be inspired by math so that it can be fun for all! A great read aloud book, with a cute riddle to get the listeners involved. A cute story of a princess, Aziza, who has convinced her Sultan father to allow her to find her own prince. She has decided whomever can answer her one riddle will be her prince. One riddle, one answer. After a long and far search quizzing the strongest and smartest men, Aziza begins to lose hope, but at the last moment a farmer begs to answer her question and she just might find her prince. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
