It goes through the entire alphabet highlighting main things in Alaska that start with that letter. On the side of each page is a more in-depth description of the item talked about on the alphabet page. ( ) Summary: This book gives information on a topic related to the state of Alaska by naming something for each letter of the alphabet Genre: This book is a good example of informational text because it involves many facts about each topic for each letter of the alphabet. All this information is on the state of Alaska and what makes the state unique with it's wildlife, culture, climate, history, etc. Genre: This book is a good example of informational reading. Each letter of the alphabet is represented by some aspect of Alaska. To the side, there is information to elaborate on the object being represented. Information: The author did a good job in putting in age appropriate information. For example, when it discussed the King Salmon, the author talked about all of the traveling a fish does, and where it is in the food chain.
