In the third book of the Ellen and Ned series, Ellen has moved to a new town. Some things are the same such as her love of horses. She is very fortunate that she is able to take riding lessons over the summer. One day while she is there she meets this wild and crazy boy who is balancing on the top barn beam. His name is David, but he goes by Da. They form an instant friendship over horses. Ellen has a great summer growing up and being with Ned, the horse from her past that she still gets to ride and enjoy. I would recommend this for anyone owning the other two in the series as well as horse fans will relate to Ellen and enjoy this as a stand alone as well. Readers do not have to read the first story to understand Ellen’s passion for horses. ( )
