Given creator Shuzo Oshimi's other manga titles about vampires and suicide pacts, I thought this might take a dark or macabre turn at some point, but it is an optimistic YA story about anxieties and friendship inspired by Oshimi's own speech difficulties. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
"High school can be a stressful time for many young people. The change means a new commute, new friends, new courses...new teachers. For Shino Oshima the change could have meant an opportunity to blossom into adulthood. Unfortunately, things go wrong on her first day - she fails to even say her name during her homeroom introduction. From then on Shino is a part-mute part-stuttering mess. Ostracized and afraid she struggles to find her place in this new world... But thankfully for her, she finds her voice through music and some unexpected new frienemies"-- No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Shino meets a blunt girl named Kayo, and somehow this turns into a “we’re getting the band together” story. But it’s not bad though the ending is lackluster. I think it comes down to pacing. Shino and Kayo’s friendship is pretty wholesome too. I love that Kayo asks for Shino’s input and doesn’t make decisions for her. And that characters are mature enough to apologize. Definitely read the afterword.
