PPaOF was one of my favorite reads of last year although it had a bit more angst than I usually found in romcoms. This takes that wayyy up a notch. So spoiler this book contains a lot of triggering content and was not the haha book I would have liked (at this moment in time). However, its a really well written book and I already seen it being one of my most memorable reads this year too. Sure Ashna estranged mother Shobj annoyed me like no other but the rekindle romance between Ansha and Rico made up for it. I don't know Persuasion as well as I do P&P so, aside from long-lost loves named Frederick(o), I don't know what other beats are here (and how many are in Ashna's story vs. Shoban's.) I really did enjoy this though, and the comedy (sorta) of manners in mother and daughter trying to figure each other out. Rico's alright too, but I do wish we could've gotten a little bit more of his backstory. (
