I enjoyed the book and read it in two sittings. The story follows the two couples and the Low. Not going to say anymore as it would spoil. However the story does have themes of jealousy, obsession and manipulation so take from that what you will. None of the characters were particularly likeable and I didn't really care about any of them. The story did hold my interest and I did want to find out what did happen.The lives of all the characters are intertwined with dark consequences and in true thriller style. This book was ok, I didn't love it but it held my attention. A quick read but I think any longer would have been too much. "Low Morrison is not your average teen. You could blame her hippie parents or her looming height or her dreary, isolated hometown on an island in the Pacific Northwest. Low Morrison does not fit in. Her family is different, she lives on an isolated part of an island, she's tall. Low has just spotted a woman she's never seen before. She's immediately drawn to her. Freya is beautiful and was once a famous social medial influencer who now runs a pottery studio. Low signed herself up for a class and quickly falls under Freya's spell. They become close, but everything changes when Jamie comes into the picture. She's desperate for a baby but is unable to have one. Freya and Jamie become good friends, as do their husbands, and once again Low is left out. The couples enjoy a night of fun at Freya's. What should have been a harmless fling with each other's partners ends up destroying lives. And Low knows all about what happened that night.
This is my first read by Robyn Harding. I was hooked from the very beginning. The writing is great. The whole book flows well and seamlessly which makes it hard to put down. The characters are developed and feel real. I was not expecting that ending. I really enjoyed the pottery aspect. This book was SO. GOOD. I can't say enough about it - just go read it if you haven't already! (
