I like for the bad guy to get what's coming by Karma, accident, tables turned, etc., but some of the action in book 3 felt just wrong. Revenge can be sweet, but not when it's mean. Maybe I'm a wuss, but it isn't satisfying to read for me. That being said, it in no way dissuades me from reading the rest of the series or more of Koontz's books. If you haven't read Dean Koontz before, try Watchers. One of my all time favorite books. I’m thoroughly enjoying this Nameless series. A woman marries men and then kills them for their money. Yeah, I know, this plot has been written before. But, wait! Nameless and his crew have devised quite the clever plan to hold her accountable for her devious behavior. For the first time though, Nameless’ plan doesn’t work exactly as planned… In the third short-story in the “Nameless” series, Nameless (a vigilante nomad, stripped of his memories and commissioned to kill) has a new case, to take down a beautiful woman (Lucia) who marries rich men and then kills them for their wealth. Another entertaining read in the series with a superstitious villain. Black Widow rip-off (No, Not That One) Review of the Amazon Original Kindle eBook edition (2019) I think I'm going to give up on the Nameless series. It is just too many borrowed and rip-offed ideas from past crime and noir genre themes and characters. I'm old enough to remember the Black Widow (1987) movie with an agent played by Debra Winger hunting down Theresa Russell character's husband killer. The Praying Mantis Bride is one of the 6 novellas included in the Nameless Collection, a series of crime and suspense fiction released November 12, 2019 from Amazon Original Stories. If our memories make us who we are, who is a man without any? Nameless has only a gun, missions from a shadowy agency, and one dead aim: dispense justice when the law fails. As he moves from town to town, driven by splintered visions of the past and future, he's headed toward the ultimate confrontation in this propulsive series of short thrillers by #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Still liked the first book best but this one was quite good too. Great story for such a short book. I’m looking forward to finding out more about Nameless’ background and who he really is. ( )
