From the New York Times bestselling author of Pucked and A Lie for a Lie, a new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love. When I joined Seattle's NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain's apartment. Did I mention that he's married to a woman who definitely was not her?Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she's the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she's not the captain's mistress. She's his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister. So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn't her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.… (más)

Lately, I've been obsessed with Helena Hunting... I've been binge reading this series and I'm in love.. with the characters... with the writing... with the steam... with the plots... with the author...

In A Favor for a Favor, a hockey player's younger sister agrees to rehab the jacka$$ across the hall who also happens to be on the same hockey team... in exchange, she'll get a great reference to add to her resume... But what happens when she wants more?

Told from alternating points of view, I loved getting into both character's heads. I loved the ancillary characters. In addition, the male narrator's voice is beautiful... Bring on the next one!!! And then I'm thankful she has many more series for me to read! ( )

On Stevie Bowman's birthday, she finds her boyfriend in bed with another woman - not the best way to start her first day in Seattle. Her brother, Rook, comes to her rescue by offering her the apartment leased to him by his new Seattle NHL hockey team. She is thrilled until she keeps running into her neighbor, Bishop, across the hall in his underwear, which consistently has inappropriate sayings stretched across the front. It isn't until after he gets hurt, and she discovers that he is her brother's teammate, that she sees an opportunity to use her skills as a physiotherapist to not only help Bishop heal but also help her to be taken seriously at her job. However, the more she gets to know the cranky Bishop, the more she begins to like him.

A Favor for a Favor uses sharp, witty dialogue and realistic situations to draw the reader into this story. Stevie and Bishop follow the pattern of enemies to friends to lovers, but take a path that leads to both humor and conflict. We see a side of Rook from A Lie for a Lie that shows him as less than perfect, but it makes him seem all the more believable, however, he along with Bishop's brother, Nolan, see the error of their ways almost too quickly. Otherwise this book is a joy to read and adore. Overall, A Favor for a Favor is another stellar entry in the All In series. 4 1/2 stars. ( )

Good story.
Quite funny.
Antagonistic relationship between the Hero and heroine, then snarky banter.
I love a brooding Hero and this has one in spades.
Non man-whore Hero despite her initial thoughts.
Ex drama for heroine, cheating ex who won't go away.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No other flirting.
Secondary characters from previous series.
Secondary characters introduced for future books.
HEA. ( )

I knew after the first book of this series that it was magical. There is something different from the Pucked series that makes this one extraordinary. The writing style is different. It is even better. There is a sense of vulnerability to the characters that I really am enjoying. Don't get me wrong, I loved the snark and humor from the first series but at times it could get overwhelming. However, in this series the snark is subtle.

Strong characters, fantastic bantering, and so much sexual tension. The backstory and slow build into forming a connection are appreciated. There are feelings here that got me invested in the characters. Stevie and her need to stay in the shadows and her reasons why were completely understandable. She was sassy and independent and I liked that about her. Bishop was not the usual Man whore with a string of puck buddies. Instead, he was gruff and motivated because he took his responsibilities seriously. I REALLY liked that about him. This didn't have as much steam as normal in this author's books but I was okay with that because in this case, the anticipation made it that much more enticing. AND the story didn't need it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my steam but I like it balanced with an actual story if that is the type of book that it is. This wasn't erotica for the sense of erotica. It was all romance.

I highly recommend this series to anyone that has been a fan of the Pucked series but be prepared this one is even better than that one. Not sure how that is even possible but it is. There are appearances from crazy Violet and Alex and Stevie's brother RJ and his family but otherwise, this is a clean slate from that book which is a refreshing change.

Well I couldn't wait so this book had to be bumped up my reading list and I was happy with Helena yet again..I loved my Pucked series, loooooved it. So when I saw that Helena had a new hockey series I was definitely going to jump and read and so far my friends so good. In this one we have Rooks sister whom we met in A lie for a lie, and I liked her then, but loved her here and was happy that she didn't jump back with her cheating ex..Huh hated him. The first interaction with Stevie and Bishop cracked me, poor Stevie was a hot mess! but all is good by the middle and end and was so happy to read about Violet as crazy as always, and my Alex!...Next please!
