No plot - A heroine who is a mouse in one relationship and a lioness in another. A fool and a walkoverone moment and stands up for herself and gets into ridiculous fights next. The hero is alternatively sweet and a mean bully for no apparent reason. I was honestly waiting to see if it come to light that they had split personality but no, it is just shoddy inconsistent writing ( ) Jameson and Emily meet when she is upgraded to first class on a flight and sits next to him. From the first, they hope for more time together and their wish is granted when the plane is rerouted due to a snow storm. They have one night together and then don't see each other again until about a year later when Emily gets her dream job at Miles Media where Jameson happens to be the CEO. They seem destined to be together despite their differences, but there are a lot of ups and downs along the way. I don't usually go for romances where the guy is ultra rich and powerful. It seems like in a lot of them, the woman is a pushover and lets they guy take charge and hurt her over and over. While Emily does get hurt during the course of this story, I wouldn't call her meek or weak. She stands up to Jameson many times and gets him to bend and soften. He is domineering, but sees his weakness to her which is part of the conflict in the story. I rather enjoyed the banter between them and actually laughed out loud while reading an extremely cute camping scene. It has been a LONG time since I've laughed out loud when reading a book. My one criticism of The Stopover is that it just seemed too long to me. There were a few points where I was getting bogged down with their push/pull relationship and an investigation taking place as a side plot was just taking forever with nothing happening. There is some steam and language in this book that will not be for everyone. All in all I did like this book and plan to go on and read The Takeover which is Jameson's brother Tristan's story. 4 stars. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

A memorable night of passion refuses to stay just a memory in this sizzling and scandalous romance from bestselling author T L Swan. I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. We talked and laughed, and something clicked. Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night. With no plans, we made our own. We danced and laughed our way around Boston and had a night of crazy passion that no woman would ever forget. That was twelve months ago, and I haven't heard from him--until today. I started a new job and met the CEO. You can imagine my surprise to see those naughty blue eyes dance with delight when he saw me across the mahogany desk. But I'm not that carefree girl anymore. My life has changed, I have responsibilities. I just got an email. He wants to see me in his office for a private meeting at 8:00 a.m. Naughty blue eyes have no place in the workplace. What kind of private meeting does he have in mind? No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
