I think this book is a great one to read on their first day of school, this way when they go home they can engage with their parents and talk about what they did on their first day of school. This made me think about all the stories till this day I tell my parents about how my day went and what I did. Sometimes they think I am silly especially since I give a lot of details, yet they listen and they love it when I talk about my day.
