I read it via the Pigeonhole app and I was on tenterhooks waiting for the next stave to arrive. It takes you on a tense, white knuckle rollercoaster of a journey with plenty of twists and turns, the odd red herring and features one or two cliffhangers. The shock ending could be considered quite ambiguous in certain respects, maybe leaving it open for a sequel. The 'Blindfolder' abducts women, holds them for forty-eight hours and lets them live and return to their life provided they don't open their eyes during this time. If the victims do open their eyes they are killed. The 'Blindfolder' has struck many times and it's a race against the clock for the Police to solve the crime. Detective Inspector Jody Foster leads the Police team trying to apprehend the perpetrator and they find themselves having to enlist the help of journalist Pieta Rawlings who succeeds in securing the rights to tell the story of a survivor, Callie.
This was a totally engrossing, rather sick tale of abuse, prejudice and revenge with plenty of twists and turns that certainly had me thinking and playing armchair detective. With very strong and expertly drawn characters, I found myself rooting for them all the way through, especially Pieta.
I have read several of Dorothy Koomson's other novels, including 'The Ice Cream Girls' and 'The Brighton Mermaid' and this novel, 'Tell Me Your Secret', is just as good, if not better!
A must-read and well worth five stars.
