In this book, a little boy tells us about his baby brother, who is not yet born. He refers to his mother's tummy as a house where the baby is growing. He talks about the strange things his mom eats and about sick she gets while she is pregnant. He helps take care of his mom and can't wait to meet the new baby. in the end, when the baby is born, he is super excited to meet him. This is a great book for young children who are expecting a new sibling. "There's a House Inside my Mommy" demonstrates the thoughts and feelings a sibling will have when they have a baby sibling on the way! This story has lots of rhyming which helps the book flow, and helps younger children understand and follow. The illustrations do a great job representing the text, and drawing in the audience. This story can bring comfort and understanding to young children watching a pregnancy. A little boy explains his interpretation of his mom's pregnancy. He says that the baby lives in a house inside his mom, and his dad told him that there is no bed, but the baby sleeps in a huge bathtub-like thing. The boy feels the baby kick and sees the baby move.
