When Mom Turned into a Monster is about a family who finds out that there relatives are coming over. The two kids make their mother's life impossible with their misbehaviors that she turns into a giant, green monster. Eventually, they see how their behavior affects their mother and began to make up for their misbehavior by cleaning the house. The book is definitely realistic because I could relate to the children from when I was younger and how frustrated my mom became at times. This book could be used in a lesson to teach children about different types of emotions and how emotions make us act. ( )

This book is about a son and daughter who drive their mother crazy! After she begs them to behave and clean up the house and their rooms for their cousins' arrival, they end up making more of a mess and turning their mother into a monster! After they see their mother crying, they realize they need to help out more in order to tame her. At the end, with a sparkling house and dinner made, the cousins start misbehaving and turn THEIR mother into a monster!

I thought this book was really cute! It made me appreciate what my mother had to deal with when her children were younger (except she had TWICE as many as this mother)! A cute read for any age, especially since the person reading the story aloud can make all sorts of monster noises to enhance the experience! ( )
