Jesse Bear takes us through his daily routine, telling us what he wears in the morning, afternoon and evening. What he wears gets a little silly, abstract, and downright poetic at times, which left me cold. ( ) This book is about a little bear, Jesse, who is just waking up for the day. The story takes you through Jesse's morning as he gets dressed, plays outside, eats lunch, and then waits for his dad to get home from work. Once his dad arrives home, the story finishes with Jesse's nightly routine. This book would be a great way to talk to students about self care and responsibilities. It touches on dressing yourself, eating healthy meals, bathing yourself, and playing outside. This book would be good for PreK-1st. Little kids would enjoy the illustrations and the rhyming that each page contains. This book could be used with younger grade levels such as kindergarten in elementary school. This book can be very easy for them to make connections with events that have happened to them in their own lives. You could begin to teach about poetry with this book to maybe a first grade classroom, since this book is filled with repetition and rhyming words. You can discuss what makes words rhyme with one another. This book would be best in a classroom with younger readers such as 1st or 2nd grade students. This book could be read to the class with the purpose of giving an example of rhyming words. Or as an early introduction to poetry. Another example of a use for this book would be in talking about daily routines and what it means to have a routine. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
