One sunny morning, in a bright and busy meadow, Little Bunny wakes up. What does he hear? From the fluttering of birds' wings to the buzzing of bumblebees,
the sounds of Spring are all around him. Brown's lyrical text and gentle question/answer format offer young children plenty of opportunity to chime right in!
The sweet characters are brought to life with adorable paintings by best-selling artist Lisa McCue.

Margaret Wise Brown wrote hundreds of books and stories during her life, but she is best known for Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny. Even though she died nearly 70 years ago, her books still sell very well.

Margaret loved animals. Most of her books have animals as characters in the story. She liked to write books that had
a rhythm to them. Sometimes she would put a hard word into the story or poem. She thought this made children think harder when they are reading.

She wrote all the time. There are many scraps of paper where she quickly wrote down a story idea or a poem.
She said she dreamed stories and then had to write them down in the morning before she forgot them.

Very cute and inviting book. The text was simple and to the point. A young child would love reading this. It went through sounds of different animals. It also described the way items sounded as well. Such as, a tree snapping. I think young children enjoy books with sounds because it is something they can connect with right away. They can say the sounds as the teacher reads aloud with them. ( )

This story is told from the perspective of things a bunny would hear.

Mommy loves this book. It's got nice pictures for L to look at and will be fun to read as she gets older, too. ( )

A cute book to teach younger students many different sounds that things make in a fun way. Would be very helpful to do a the sounds as a class and point out different items that makes the sounds talked about in the class.
