( ) This is an imaginative and well written book. It is set in a unique world with all kinds of individual species. This book will appeal to people who enjoy sci-fi , scheming and war. My problem with it was that I really never became invested in any of the characters. The prologue was way too long and difficult to get through. Although I liked Lord of the Rings and this story could compare to that, I like the characters in LOTR and I just didn’t in this. Also, I know this is an ARC, the transitions between scenes were non-existent. That made it confusing to follow the story. One minute you’d be involved with a character from one scene and the next sentence was a totally different scene unrelated to the previous scene. Being confused made it much harder to read the book. I think this is a great story but the characters need to be more likable if I’m to care about what happens to them. Please clearly delineate the scenes so they don’t all run together; it will make it a much more enjoyable book. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed are my own. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Aoelyn risked her life to save the trader Talmadge and it cost her everything that is dear to her, but Talmadge survived and can't forget the amazing woman who killed a god. Little do they realize, war is coming to the mountain. Far to the west, a fallen empire stirs. One that sees a solar eclipse as a call to war. Their empire once dominated the known world and they want it back"-- No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
