Pete sends out invitations for his pizza party, and they were going to build a pizza together. Pete had in mind extra cheese, and peperoni, but others did not agree. Some of the characters wanted pretzels, pistachios, pickles, popcorn, and papaya. All the while, the authors depict them having fun at the party doing different games. Once they are done assembling the pizza, they all loved it, and in order to make a perfect pizza it has to be eaten/done with friends. - Tags/subject headings that describe the content: friendship, compromise, party, pizza. - My response: I really like this book because it teaches people about compromising. MayaBust | Feb 22, 2022 | ) vanveenje7 | Feb 27, 2020 | Although not the best of the Pete the Cat picture-books (I tend to prefer the early ones, written by Eric Litwin), Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party is engaging enough, and is sure to appeal to fans of this cool cat. I appreciated the message about learning to adapt, when our friends have their own ideas about the perfect snack (or activity, or anything else), and the artwork is as bright and colorful as ever. Unlike some of the more recent holiday-themed Pete the Cat books (which are smaller than these regular picture-books), this one didn't feel as much like coattail-riding.
