This series of four bible studies for Lent are designed to help people understand the teachings of Jesus more clearly and help them appreciate the central place of Christ crucified for their lives of faith. The studies are designed to encourage people to read the Bible stories about Jesus' journey to Calvary; to think about how the stories have come down to Christians; and to reflect and pray about their meaning for Christians lives as Jesus' followers today. Study 1 deals with Jesus' last supper with the disciples. Study 2 is about when Jesus is arrested. Study 3 is concerned with Jesus when he is tried and condemned. The fourth study uses the same format of group presentation as the first three to discuss when Jesus is put to death.
