Micah: Constantine Ross is a cocky, provoking little . . . yeah. And I swear, I'd think that even if his family's business wasn't my biggest competition. It's time someone taught the man a lesson or two about life. At least that's what I tell myself when I offer him a job. Call it my good deed for the year . . . maybe the century. But now he's in my shop. In my space. In my every damn thought. In. My. Bed. And how the hell am I supposed to resist him? Constantine: I'll be the first to admit I've royally screwed up, but what can I say? I was a stupid teen who lost his dad and spiraled out of control. Almost a decade later, I'm still trying to make amends. The last thing I need is my family's arch-nemesis wading into my life like he's got all the answers. Except . . . I really need money, and the arrogant jerk offered me a job. I can deal with Micah's attitude. My attraction to him? That's different. He's my boss, not my boyfriend. And he's way too old for me. But God, he's gorgeous. Dominant. Compelling. I don't want to want him . . . But I can't turn away.… (más)

I may not remember titles, but as soon as I started listening to this audiobook, it was clear I'd read it before. I am at least a good listener, but there is also something endearing and memorable about O'Leary and the passions of its inhabitants.

They are a bit wacky but I've enjoyed all 3 of the O'Leary Series I've read so far. They have a harmless/safe vibe, and heart-warming humour. This blurb about the book captures that and is all the reminder I need of the 2 entertaining lead characters, Micah and Constantine.

I love these books and this series, but my enjoyment of this book was tainted completely by what a terrible human being and a terrible mother Angela Ross is. Everything she's done to ruin her children's lives overshadows anything I found enjoyable about the romance unfolding. I'm so angry on her children's behalf and I don't even know if I can finish this book. I don't see how there can possibly be a happy ending for Con. ( )

Although this is book 3, most of the events happen earlier than the first two (though all can be read as stand-alones). I was reading #2 when I bought this one and learned that, so I read them concurrently and managed to dovetail then pretty well, making this one even better than it already was. I enjoyed the underlying themes in The Secret, and that the conflicts don't last long and the solutions are VERY O'Leary-esque, which is good because really, the town is one of the characters. Plus, this one has such a sweet Epilogue. ( )

This was easily the best in the series, so far. Mostly because the characters were funnier than in the previous ones, particularly Micah. I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions, and the romance was also pretty sweet.

I'm not usually a huge fan of big age gaps in romance, but here it wasn't built on a power imbalance or daddy issues, so no complaints.

I still really like the side characters too, especially Angela and Sam, but most of the others as well. I'll definitely keep reading the series, but I think I'll take a little break. Even though I'm really in the mood for sweet and cozy romance, I also feel like all this syrup might give me cavities.

So, something a little more substantial might be in order next, but I feel like Christmas break might be a good opportunity to read the rest of the published novels and novellas in the series. ( )

It was great to revisit the town of O’Leary. Con and Micah are competitors in the flower business, and they can’t stand each other. They think they know the other person, though, and they clearly have many preconceived notions that aren’t real. When they finally start to get more familiar and comfortable, they decide not to shut it down. They had really great chemistry together. It was awesome revisiting the other couples from town, and I loved reading this. This is a great series.
