When the Eternal Hope choir organizes to clean up a stretch of road in their town, young Mark Canfield finds a valuable coin. Mark thinks he has found a way to fund his college education, until others claim the coin, and Gracie must get to the bottom of things.

So-so mysteries featuring a woman who sings in a church choir; no bloodshed whatsoever, just minor problems vexing community members. Normally I like to read all the books in a series once I discover a new author, but in this instance I don't feel compelled to hunt up any other books this woman has written. She tends to drag in thoughts out of nowhere, it seems, and it is also hard to keep track of people in her stories as she tends to mention them once and then not refer to them again for several chapters, at which point she only uses the first name and you are supposed to remember to whom she is referring.
