This book was certainly interesting but overall a bit slow. Maybe it just was not for me but I did not enjoy it nor did I dislike it. I enjoyed the previous books of the series more than this one. It fell flat at times although the writing was engaging.
The main part of the plot that I noticed was Lily's fear of horses and how she attempts to overcome it. I think her fear was represented in a realistic manner most of the times, but Lily could be a little dramatic about horses.
I don't have much to say about this book.

Lily Davis is a Denver Socialite, divorced with two children, her wealthy ex-husband doesn't have time for their children and her son is acting out. She is scared of horses but after her son tries to steal horseshoes from Noah Stephens, one trail ride turns into repeated visits to his riding school.

Noah Stephen is a widowed cowboy, he dreams of teaching children the art of rodeo. He offers to teach Piper and Colton to ride, and Lily works to help him get the word out about his school.

Can two hearts that have been hurt in the past, embrace their second chance?

Lily is tired of the big city scene and expectations, when she finds herself the unlikely advocate for Noah Stephens' riding school. Her children adore Noah, and despite her fear of horses, a mare named Honey takes to her instantly. Lilt comes to appreciate small-town living and sensibilities, enjoying the slower more pleasurable way of life.

Clint, Noah's father has become a sort of matchmaker over the years, and he finds ways to subtly get Lily and Noah together. He has many wise words and the children love him .

Noah has a passion for rodeo, because of how much it helped him become the man that he is. He enjoys sharing that with the children and really loves having Lily and her children around. He struggles with moving on from the death of his wife, and has a good relationship with his father. He leans on his faith, and trusts God with his new business venture.

Overall, a enjoyable read of hope and second chances. Lily is a strong woman, who loves her children and wants the best for her children in more than worldly ways. I love the close knit Stephen's family and all the brothers and their father, Clint. I loved the interaction between the characters, and the strong faith, and message of hope and second chances.

Every time I visit Ouray, Colorado and the Stephens family, I’m not ready to leave when the book ends. Mindy Obenhaus does a superb job of showing readers the sights, celebrations, and adventure this small Colorado town has to offer, I’m ready for an in-real-life visit.

In Her Colorado Cowboy, we get an inside look at Abundant Blessings Ranch as well as the development of Noah Stephens’s rodeo school. I enjoyed getting to know the horses and “seeing” Noah in his element as he works with Lily’s son.

Lily Davis is another likable character and a great addition to the town. Raised with and married into Money, she’s as down-to-earth as they come. Her desire to teach her son a lesson without throwing money at the issue speaks well to her character. And her love for both her children is evident in everything she does.

As Lily, Colton, and Piper draw Noah out of this self-imposed shell, something no one has done in twelve years, I was rooting for the cowboy to let go of his guilt and grief of his past to see the future that awaited him.

And Lily working with Honey just melted my heart. This is, indeed, a woman who loves well. And Obenhaus has once again delivered a read that I could not put down despite the late night (early morning) hour.
