I’ve been waiting on Grady’s story for a while now since we got to see bits and pieces of him throughout the other stories. He came off as mean, then a little bit sweeter, but it wasn’t until this story we get to see the heart of Grady and he is a sweet, funny, charismatic, beautiful man. Emery is a sweet soul that carries her love for Grady for years and it never wavers. She brings a change in him where we can see he’s trying to be better and more mature for her. I absolutely loved this story it had its ups, downs, and drama but it was so well written that I felt it all. They have carried a love for each other for so long but can they hold on to it or has the years apart changed them too much? Beautiful story and definitely on my reread list. ( ) Rating: ★★✬☆☆ (2.5/5 Stars) Title: For Emery Author(s): J. Nathan Character(s): ― Emery Pruitt: 18 years old, Blonde, Blue Eyed ― Jordan Grady: Grady: 21 years old Setting: Alabama Tag(s): Romance, Contemporary, Sports Romance Content Rating: ― POV: Alternates between Heroine/Hero Smexy Level: ― Favorite Quote(s): ― “If it’s me and you, you know regardless of who I date, you’ll always be my favorite girl.” Overall Opinion: Years after running away with her mother from an abusive home, Emery regrets leaving behind her best friend, Grady, whom she's been in love with since she was eight. Years later, a chance encounter at a college party reunites the childhood friends. “For Emery” started off in a good note and I was intrigued by the direction of the story. Once the leads reached adulthood and reconnected the storyline fell flat to me. The characters were a lot more interesting as children/teenagers than what they became in college. I felt almost force to try to finish this story. Sadly, this just wasn't for me and I ended up dropping this by chapter 15 at 38%. This author I have read before and I always thoroughly enjoyed her books. Both the story and the characters were engaging. I will definitely have to read more by J. Nathan. I find myself very engaged by her books. I am reviewing this book based on an ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Emery I've loved Jordan Grady since I was eight. Since he became my protector. Since he became my safe haven each night. But I was younger. Off limits... Until high school when he finally kissed me. And for a few fleeting moments, everything was right in the world. Then I was forced to do the hardest thing I've ever had to do... Disappear from his life without a trace. Grady I'm Alabama's star right tackle-and a real prick. I live my life by a few solid truths. Life isn't fair. Don't let anyone get too close. And those who claim to care about you can up and leave. But you know what they say about things that disappear... But Emery Pruitt had never been mine. Even if she had returned after four years. Older. Confident. And more beautiful than the night she vanished. But it didn't erase the fact that she'd left me. So, why find me now? No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
