Faith, a young girl who can not find her place in Mexican society, is discovered on the streets by a dog with special talents. Faith names her new pet Edison (a stray dog in Mexico is known as un perro corriente, or "electric dog") and learns that he is able to understand several different human languages. Faith is distraught because she is having a hard time learning Spanish, and she is the target of teasing and pranks from her classmates. To escape her hard life, Faith and Edison ride a rocket to San Francisco, Faith's hometown. The enchanting rocket ride is the start of an adventure that will keep readers guessing. The book's original plot, Edison's first-person narrative, and the translation of Spanish, French, and "Bowwow" words make this a rare find. http://books.scholastic.com sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
