I combined it with a vocabulary lesson, choosing vocabulary words from the story. The students were very engaged and eager to find out if she would find her shoe, they were also inspecting all of the pictures to see if they could see her shoe hidden in the illustrations. The students noticed that many words in the story were rhyming words. This book had great illustrations that helped my lesson because we defined the vocab words using context clues from both the pictures and text in the story. I very much enjoyed this story and so did my first graders. Would recommend. ( ) This book would be great book to teach about rhyming! Lizzy McTizzy lost her shoe, what shall she do? We follow Lizzy around her house while she looks for a shoe to go to a party. In the end, she realizes that it doesn’t matter what she wears, just that she is herself, with or without matching shoes! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
