I really liked this book because of the importance a book holds in Phebe's life. Literature can be transformative, even if it is "merely" Mother Goose. As always with Lois Lenski, the depth of research and the completely realized setting are impeccable. ( ) A sweet-enough story of a young girl sent to live with country relatives while her seafaring father takes her mother on a trip to Europe. These country relatives are quite a bit more puritan than her own parents, and it takes a bit of adjusting for her to feel that she fits in. Cute, but not anything extraordinary. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
