This was just such a fun, action-packed read, and the characters are absolutely fantastic! I really enjoy the silliness (like land-sharks, giant monster women, etc.) paired with the more serious aspects of building up the new West Coast Avengers team. Kate Bishop is amazing and I'm super eager to read more of her adventures. SO GOOD! ( ) These absolute dumbasses. I love them. Why did this have to get cancelled so soon? I deserve more. I just finished [b:New Avengers: A.I.M., Volume 1: Everything is New|26200319|New Avengers A.I.M., Volume 1 Everything is New|Al Ewing|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1460314878i/26200319._SY75_.jpg|46177109] and the subsequent volumes which featured Hawkeye and two former Young Avengers. In this one, everyone's favourite Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, awkwardly restarts the West Coast Avengers, reuniting with everyone's second favourite Hawkeye, Clint Barton, and her best friend and former Young Avengers teammate America Chavez. Joining them is Kid Omega, who is looking for something to do, Gwen Poole who doesn't even know how she is in a comic book universe, and Johnny Watts, Kate's boyfriend who can turn into any material he's touching and also has no idea what is going on. The team is madcap so the adventures are too. I love the interactions between Kate and both Clint and America, and how it continues the story from where Kate's solo adventures left off. Kelly Thompson is a fun writer and I love how she writes Kate, deep in her own imposter syndrome while still keeping pace with heroes with superpowers. I didn't like that this was only four West Coast Avengers issues, with two issues of other books to round it out: the Young Avengers issue where Kate and Clint meet included (which I had already read) as well as Unbelievable Gwenpool #1 (which I appreciated as this was my introduction to the character and also had beautiful art and colouring). Galet? Visst. Meningslöst? I stort sett.
