"What's the most perfect chair for a baby bear?"

Baby bear observes that there are many different sizes of bears that get to different things. One of them is to sit in different sized chairs. He figures out what is his most favorite chair if all.

He observes that great big chairs are for great big bears and middle-sized chairs for middle-sized bears. He also sees that his tiny chair is tall compared to the others with a strap which he knows is to keep him from falling out. He does not care for this tiny chair. His most favorite chair is his papa's lap. He loves to fall asleep and relax in his lap because no one is telling him what not to do.

Theme: Since the baby bear is so little, he goes through his small struggles such as having a high chair and going to bed early. However, baby bear learns there is a positive side to being so small, which is his favorite thing to do... sitting in his papa's lap. Out of all the chairs, his favorite chair is papa's lap. He will continue to sit in his favorite chair (papa's lap) until he becomes a great big bear like his papa.

The words are written in a poetry outline with an A,B,C,B rhyme pattern. ( )

This picture book is a story in ryhme about a baby bear and his favorite chair. Baby bear is toddler and plays with his big brother and makes big messes. Everyone has their own chair they like to sit it. Baby bear's favorite chair is his father. Before bedtime, Papa bear puts baby bear on his chest and reads him bedtime stories until baby bear falls asleep. This is a cute little story for young children, it also introduces children to simple poetry. ( )

Little Bear isn't happy that all of the other bears can do cool things in their chairs and he can't. Mama and Papa bear get to stay up late in their chairs, while Little Bear has to take naps and go to sleep early. His big brother gets to play pirate on his chair, while all Little Bear can do is sit in his to eat. Little Bear eventually realizes that he has the best chair in the house, his Papa's lap. The lesson that I believe children can get from this book is that no matter how small you are you can still have to best. ( )

This is a cute book that mimics how much children can't wait to grow up and idolize their older siblings and parents. Baby Bear really wants to experience being in the other chairs, or being grown up, but at the end of the day, he realizes that his chair is perfect for him and him only. This would be a good book to read to children for fun around career day. ( )
