The villain in this story could only be described as a vicious murderer who has no care or respect for his female victims – or for any men who happen to be in his way. Jay Sanders and Peter Fernandez read this story and whoever plays the villain manages to create a scary profile of the character simply with his voice which is not all that enjoyable on a late night drive from work.

It is fascinating but scary to listen to him read while the villain stalks his prey, playing his games before eventually trapping the hapless girl of his choice, or the girl who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. No conscience, or care for the men who may cross his path either.

Piecing together the parallel plots takes most of the book but is worth the wait. I look forward to reading my next Cross adventure.
