I can't help but hear this in my head as if voiced by Billy Crystal as Miracle Max. Utterly outlandish with only the barest plot (Presto and Zesto find themselves in Limboland, and the only way they - or anyone else - can escape is by bringing a present to the sugar beets wedding, but the only good present - a set of bagpipes - is in the possession of the fearsome Bumbo), it's classic Sendak/Yorinks weirdness. Not as terrifying or uncanny as Outside Over There, though - more in the vein of The Night Kitchen, but longer. "...until finally they came upon a woman from the old country, the country where only old people live. Naturally she knew some spells..." sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Yorinks weaves an opera like tale in picture book form using almost forgotten illustrations by Maurice Sendak. The entire tale is silly and makes little sense which makes it fun for children. I would make a great reader’s theatre. ( )
