A giraffe is unhappy with his long, unusual neck until he meets a turtle who is also unhappy with his short neck. The always great Lane Smith provides the illustrations. I especially like a special fold-out page that shows the giraffe reaching way up high for a banana in a tree 😊 sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

No puedo evitarlo. Todito entero. |

The illustrations are very very nice. They are more of a brown color palate which I don't often see in children's books. They are muted which is actually refreshing. It's a story about embracing uniqueness because what child doesn't have something they dislike about themselves. (Mine was being petite for SO long)
Only critique is that it is a bit long for storytime. (I'm going to try it anyway.) I think it will work well, though, for one on one reading. ( )
