This Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World novella is Aurora Rose Reynolds' Until Series.
The connection is that Leo works with Nico.
It was a sweet story, OTT and insta.
It is well written but it is short. I thought the length of the book affected the development of the story as it could have been so much more. I am not sure if there was a restriction with number of words but it didn't feel as though there was as much to it as others I have read from this ARR world.
There is ex-drama but it is over and dealt with very quickly.
Leo also has a daughter so the issue of step parents is covered in a positive way.
In the other Until books the 'BOOM' felt is one sided but here although Leo mentions this is what the Mayson boom must be like they both fall for each other straight away.
In some ways that's refreshing no push/pull but it just isn't what I was used to with the boom.
Don't let my review put you off reading, if you've read the series you'll want this one too. I also appreciate my review may not be popular but I have only written how I felt.
There is a brief appearance from Nico and talk of his family and Leo refers to them.
