I liked the original better - with its tighter writing and plotting. Also didn't like how Mary's chapters were in 3rd person while Frankenstein's and the Creature's were in 1st person. (I know that mirrors the source materials.) ( ) I enjoyed this. There was clearly a good deal of thought behind it, and it was respectfully done. The alternating POVs and switching back and forth from first person to third was jarring at first, but I got used to it once I was immersed in the story. The Mary Bennet chapters were my favorites. I liked how the author imagined Mary might be in her thirties, her regrets and her personal growth. I’ve read Pride and Prejudice a lot more recently than I’ve read Frankenstein, but I think it’s fair to say Kessel did a fine job marrying the two. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
