In the picture book Some pig, a younger audience is introduce to the classic Charlotte's Webb in a book of beautiful illustrations and a look into the wonderful friendship of Fern and Wilbur. This has detailed fantasy when the spider tries to save the day with her web and children learn the true meaning of friendship at an early age. In the classroom I would have a science activity about spiders and have the children create their own web. I would also incorporate lessons of friendship and why it is so important to stick up for your friends and stay by their side. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

This story is full of fantasy and imagination falling into the fantastic stories genre. Everything is realistic in this portion of the story except for the intimate form of relationship Fern and Wilbur develop, later in the stories we discover that all the different animals on the farm can communicate and organize events. Stories in which include personification or animals talking have always been a popular theme for young children and I was no exception.
This book could be used in many different forms in the classroom from creative writing to art projects. A few ways I thought would be interesting for the children would be to sort the characters from human and non-human to teach the concept of personification or choosing an animal study such as researching pigs or even better learning about spiders and their life cycles.
