It gave the audience a picture of all of the challenges and hardships that the homeless have to face. Along with this, it shows us how small acts of kindness can create so much hope in the lives of others. ( ) Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. Simple and gorgeous, the overall effect of the book brought me to tears. I found it brought to light some issues often left ignored, namely homelessness. We generally don’t talk to children about such things, but this book provides an opportunity to introduce children to the reality of life around us and provides us with encouragement to see. A touching and bittersweet story. Stunning illustrations and amazing detail and expressiveness. An important and serious topic to portray, yet continuously shows this version of homelessness. This is the stereotypical image of what homeless person is and it's so much more than this. Women, children and families are more and more finding themselves without housing. I would like more about that version. It is still a beautiful story and takes a look at identity, kindness. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. I was wary about this book at first with it being about a young girl obsessed with a homeless man, but my daughter loved it. The illustrations are VERY much like James Stevenson, whom we LOVE in this household. Both my kids were fascinated by the book the first time they heard it, but my daughter had me re-read it a few times. She hasn't gone out and friended any homeless people, but the book did start a few discussions. So, I didn't mark it down for being controversial. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Day breaks over the town. Get up, everybody! It's time to go to school. For the old man too, it's time to wake up. The night was icy and he's hungry. His name? He doesn't know . . . No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
