I completely fell in love with these two and their journey. I loved how they both denied the obvious connection between them. The slow yet heated burn of it all gave this book wonderful tension that had me hooked to see what would happen next. And I love a good redemption story--and watching Keir's growth from start to end was great. The synopsis almost leads you to believe that Rowan is just a girl who is easily manipulated but that is far from the case! She is so strong (albeit she does have her flaws that she learns to grow from) and is such a genuine heroine that I think readers will love and respect her from the start. I know I did! This story easily could have been over dramatic but it straddles that perfect line between drama and theatrics. You get enough conflict to provide depth but not so much that it ruins the story. This reminded me a lot of the movie, How to Lose a Guy in 10 days. Rowan and Keir pretend to like each other in order to get something out of it. Only real feelings get involved. I liked both characters a lot. They had great chemistry and the story line had great fluidity. It kept me engaged throughout the whole story.
