Cool story set in the old west with some intriguing paranormal elements. Homosexuals will get a man lynched, if he's found out, and the ability to partially/occasionally see the future is just as dangerous.

Lucas has been saddled with both. He is the narrator, and boy, does he know how to get in trouble! His plan of getting Ambrose's attention may work, but it also puts him in mortal danger.

Ambrose is the strong, brooding type, silent but utterly dangerous when upset. Still, he seems to have a soft spot for Lucas - though I doubt he'd ever admit it! And he might be a cowboy, but there is something about his past hinting at more.

If you like adventures set in the old West with a touch of paranormal, if the strong man coming to the rescue of the reckless, slightly stupid guy sounds like fun, and if you're looking for a slightly mysterious read with a few twists,then you will probably like this short story. ( )
