While playing the piano at her recital, a young girl moves the audiences with the beautiful sound she plays. The audience adores the music as it reminds them of happy memories. Great book because of how it help to teach children that happiness can come from anywheres, even some piano music at a recital. ( )

Rondo in C is a story about a piano student that plays Bethoven’s Rondo in C at her recital. One guy has a memory of flying geese, another lady has a memory in her mother’s house, and a kid has memories about running down a hill with his friends. An older lady remembers her life in Vienna, a girl remembers falling snow, and an older man remembers holding his significant other. The Rondo in C that the piano student plays creates an emotional response for each person in the room. This book reflects the power and importance of music. The expressions of the people show their happiness. I would let students listen to the composition Rondo in C, and then ask them to write a sentence about how they feel about the song. ( )

As a young girl plays her piece for a piano recital, members of her audience reflect upon what memories they have connected to the piece being played.

The book would be useful in discussing music, art, and memories. ( )
