The man who was fun and laughs but quickly turned into so much more before he completely kicked John out of his life.Oz who desperately needs his help...John is ready to leave Oz stranded at the Denver airport in the coming blizzard, but he finds himself possibly staring down at the reason Oz pushed him away, and John can't say no.Second chances don't come around often, but John is willing to fight for one with Oz.… (más)
This story was going downhill, it recovered a bit with last chapter and epilogue.
In the case of Oz, the two times he decides to move away from John seemed very foolish to me. If you want, the first time —with willingness on my part and short-sightedness from Oz— could have some justification. But the second time irritated me because on this occasion John makes clear his readiness to get involved. Besides I would have liked Oz to have in mind that part of being a father is to encourage children to go after what they want, demostrating it with their own actions and pointing out that even failure leaves something positive.
On John case, I find it hard to find a credible reason for his ostracized Christmases —especially concerning Spenser—, beyond needing to locate him in Denver coincidently with Oz. It's to question how much "best friend" Spenser is, don't you think?
So, despite being well written, this book barely made the grade. ( )
