There were sections in the book that were way over my head perhaps with me being a layman. But 5 stars for the lifelong impact this book will have not only on me but hopefully my children as I nurture their souls as their mother. It wasn’t until I read this book that I realized how serious and dangerous it is to approach Christ as an antinomian. Yet Ferguson writes in a way that articulates the beauty and glory of Christ - the great treasure Jesus is, the good news of the gospel, and the blessing and importance it is to have a life consistent with Christ dependent obedience. Also, this book taught me the beauty and treasure the law of God is for believers. Hard and slow read! But highly recommend. ( )
