This book was amazing! I absolutely love Barbara Park. This book is relevant in today's society because it covers a very touchy topic- bulling. I love how Earl overcame his problem and figured out a solution. I would read this book to my class. ( )

Earl is a “wimpy” fifth-grader with a problem; every week he is forced to pay bully Eddie McFee one dollar, or else receive a beating. With new friends Maxie and Rosie, Earl develops a plot to become free from Eddie’s torment; the three will make Eddie believe that he has killed Earl. The plan does not go seamlessly; numerous comical but unfortunate events arise to hinder it. However, the trio ultimately succeeds, and Earl blackmails Eddie into leaving him alone for good.
